ND300 - Hardware

Requires No Air
The use of hardened bearings in the ND300 Gear Measurement Machine's rotary table eliminates the need for filtered shop air. Eliminating the need for air makes the ND300 easier to set up and provides you with a more reliable rotary table unhampered by damage that could be caused by moisture in the air lines.

 

Utilizes Linear Motor Technology
To maximize ND300 Gear Measurement System uptime, PECo manufactures the system utilizing linear motor technology in the linear axes. The linear motor technology was chosen in order to eliminate as many troublesome mechanical wear components (ball screws, belts, pulleys and rotary bearings) as possible to prevent the machine downtime caused when wear components need to be replaced.

Incorporates Proven Commercial Components
The Next Dimension® Gear Measurement Systems were designed to incorporate only proven commercial components in order to ensure a reliable and maintainable system that can handle the heavy throughput of today's manufacturing environments. Since the mechanical wear components can be easily replaced, a machine rebuild simply consists of exchanging components and re-mapping the system. Machine wear components such as linear bearings are standard off-the-shelf items.

Provides High Repeatability
Manufactured using PECo’s in-house grinding capability, the mechanical bases and system structure of the ND300 Gear Measurement Machine provide the foundation for the repeatability in the linear axes. Manufacturing these key components in-house allows us even tighter control over the process – just one more step in maximizing the reliability and accuracy of the system to meet your needs.

Uses Zero Backlash Rotary Table
The ND300 rotary table employs permanently lubricated angular contact, double row, pre-loaded bearings capable of handling loads up to 400 lbs. The rotary table in the Next Dimension® Gear Measurement Machine utilizes a precise zero backlash capstan arrangement.
